Mark your calendars and join us on October 18-19, 2013 for Washington and Lee University’s Second Annual Entrepreneurship Summit. The Entrepreneurship Summit provides the opportunity for alumni, students, and faculty to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and establish valuable connections for present and future entrepreneurial endeavors.
In addition to networking events, the program includes presentations and interactive panel sessions on important topics such as bootstrapping, launching technology ventures, venture capital and angel funding, leveraging social media, protecting your intellectual property, and strategic models to enhance success. Alumni currently engaged in launching or growing an entrepreneurial venture will have the opportunity to pitch their companies. In these sessions new entrepreneurs will receive valuable feedback from experienced mentors regarding the challenges they are facing. There will also be opportunities to engage with current students working on business plans and a variety of discussion forums.
The Entrepreneurship Summit will be open to all W&L alumni, students, faculty, and parents. Below is a brief description of each group and their involvement in the Summit.
All alumni will participate in the various networking and panel discussions. Alumni who identify themselves as having entrepreneurial experience are welcome to join us for sessions as panelists, presenters, or engaged attendees on both Friday and Saturday. Alumni who identify themselves as new to entrepreneurship have the opportunity to apply to be one of the companies featured in the Alumni Pitch session and are encouraged to participate in all of our educationally oriented sessions.
